New Look for the Web Site

Only a few days from the start of Spring 2011 and time for a new look for the Rhema Christian Fellowship and Rhemaradio.us web pages. Now there is video, with a super video produced by The Dalles Chamber of Commerce featuring the sites of the Columbia River Gorge and Mount Hood. And on the RCF page, a video that will help you think about your relationship with God. Drop us a line and let us know how we're doing, or send us a prayer request. We honor every request because prayer really does change things.

The Board of Directors for Rhema Christian Fellowship (RCF, Inc.) met this past evening to make decisions on a variety of issues. Elected as members and officers:

President/Bishop - Rev. Marshall D. Johnson, Sr.
Vice President/Executive Elder - Rev. Alexis L. Johnson
Secretary/Treasurer - James P. Keightley
Member - Carol Keightley
Member - Maggie Wood

The Board accepted the charter and appointment of The Missionary Church International, Columbia, South Carolina. With the charter came designation of RCF, Inc as a Section 501(c)(3) organization.

In a separate action the Board voted to form a Section 502 venture solely owned by RCF, Inc. for the purpose of acquiring ownership of radio stations. A search is underway to acquire radio outlets in the Pacific Northwest region.

The new Bishop, it was announced, has been accepted into the Doctorate Degree program with Sure Foundation Theological Institute, Seminole/Tampa, Florida.

Time Marches On...

We began, at the end of the Summer, looking earnestly for radio stations for sale to acquire for the ministry. With the help of broadcast brokers we have found several. And as of 10-10-2010, we began submitting offers to purchase our first. This process can move very slowly. So, we don't expect an answer before the first week of November from the station licensee. There are other offers from other parties already on the table for consideration. God has brought us this far, for us to arrive at His predetermined destination. /We are following God's leading. God is faithful to fulfill His Word. We ask for your prayers that God will enable our deal and guide those who will provide the financing.

Rhemaradio.us is now listed on "www.manta.com". This is the beginning of the slow process of exposing new listeners to the product and growing the audience. Tell your friends and thank you for your support.

Transition to a New Thing...

2010 has been a time of transition for a great many people in ministry and elsewhere. After finishing a Bachelors Degree in Church Ministry and being accepted into the Masters Degree program, Marshall has taken the Summer off to cool his jets and improve his tan (just kidding about the tan). By the way Scotsman don't tan, they just attain the grade of "rare", "medium-rare", "medium" or "well done". I don't think that is what God meant when He said, "Well done, you good and faithful servant."

We are planning upgrades to Rhemaradio and upgrades for the web site. They will come as time and resources present themselves. One of the notable upgrades to Rhemaradio will be the ability of listeners to request music they want to listen to.

Rhema Christian Fellowship, our non-profit corporation, is filing for Section 501(c)(3) status with the IRS and has elected a new Board of Directors. The ministry is also preparing to look into buying radio stations to transition into areas.

The new year brings exciting possibilities for the station and and the ministry. Marshall is finishing his Bachelor of Church Ministry Degree and has been accepted into the Masters Degree in Theology program. The internet radio station has continued to upgrade equipment and software. The addition of national-international network news is being planned to begin this year along with website upgrading and additional interactive services.

Two plus years have passed since our move to Las Vegas, Nevada. Rhemaradio has returned to the Pacific Northwest and the Columbia River Gorge. With a new web domain, new site and updated studio and broadcast equipment, Rhemaradio returns to broadcasting on the internet.

While in Las Vegas, God supplied a new vision for building a ministry and media training center. The center's purpose would be to prepare those who are called to fulltime or parttime ministry and the use of mass media (radio, television, print and the internet) to spread the gospel to the very outer corners of earth.

All New Website + Rhema Christian Fellowship

It has been a very busy summer at Rhema Radio Ministries, with some time away for the birth of our new grand daughter, Erris Alexis Owens. Obviously, Grandma and Grandpa are trying to convince perfect strangers she is the prettiest girl in Tulsa.

Rhema Radio has updated its music library and comtemporized it's playlist. Give us a listen. We hope you are blessed by the positive message and uplifting attitude. In addition, the local low power radio stations have been upgraded as well with new digital audio processing and a new AM transmitter installation ready to increase our coverage area.

Changes are in the wind for a possible change in streaming software for the internet radio station as well. Plans are being formulated for adding a couple of new audio codec formats for listeners all over the world.

The addition, the Rhema Christian Fellowship church page will see the most change and growth over next few months. So, visit often and join the blessing.

As many Christians listen to the radio and watch there televison, we can't help but be concerned for the situation in Israel and the Middle East. Please pray for God's perfect will for the people of Israel. As Christians, we are biblically connected with the people of Jerusalem, God's City, and their land.

Alexis and I are making plans for the holidays, which will be here before we know it. Pray for us here as we prepare for our local Christmas celebration and the joyful holiday programming coming on Rhema Radio.

God's Manifold Blessing

The summer of 2006 has been an incredible time of growth in the ministry. As of June 22, the ministry is a non-profit corporation of the State of Oregon and recognized by the federal government as an official ministry. Of course, God enabled the ministry over a year ago. The name of the ministry is Rhema Christian Fellowship.

And the ministry is only weeks away from filing for tax exempt status as a 501(c)(3) corporation. God's vision for Rhema Christian Fellowship is huge. Come back and visit frequently for the latest developments. Of those developments is the pastoral staff ordination ceremony slated for the 3rd weekend in August. Pray for God's annointing and enabling.

Let us be a blessing to you. On the Rhema Radio web page, click on "prayer request" and we will include you and your needs in our daily prayers. And when God gives you the victory, let us know the details of God's riches in glory in your life. So send your request right now, and let us join you in faith believing with thanksgiving to pray for authority, deliverance, healing, wisdom, joy, peace, fiances, marriages or what ever your need is.

If you don't know the Lord Jesus Christ, let us join with you to pray the sinner's prayer. "Lord, we come before the throne of grace to confess we cannot keep from sin in our own strength and we need your help. Jesus, Son of the living God and Father, chose to die on the cross for my sins. And with His Spirit, I am redeemed with my name appearing in the Lamb's Book of Life. I repent of my sin, I believe and now I am confident; I am saved. In Jesus name I pray, Amen and Amen."

Now either send us an email about your salvation or find someone close by and let them know Jesus has just saved you. For, if we believe and confess with our mouth Jesus Christ is Lord, he is faithful and just to forgive us. Don't listen to the nay-sayers. Just find a Bible believing church that you can belong to and work in and support. Congratulations, your are now a Christian and that is something you can be proud of in the name of Christ Jesus.

Welcome to the new Rhema Radio website. New in functionality and new in ministry. Rhema Radio Ministries was birthed over a year ago after a call of God on Marshall and Alexis Johnson. And today is another step toward what God has enabled. We welcome your cards, letters and emails. At the bottom of this page is the information you need to contact us.
In the coming weeks, Rhema Radio will be bringing its local Part 15 broadcasting transmitters on line; FM at 101.5 MHz and AM at 1660 KHz. And of course, Rhema Radio, the internet radio station will continue to grow with new music, new programming features and special programming aimed at reaching the lost.
